The Round Sequence (Core Game)
- Phase 1: Planning & Reinforcement
- Income & Admin (Simultaneous): Get income, pay upkeep, determine turn order.
- Recruitment (In Order): Buy Bushi, Ninja, Castles.
- Phase 2: Campaign
- Movement (In Order): Move all units.
- Battles (In Order): Resolve battles.
- Phase 3: Winter
- Supply (Simultaneous): Pay for units in mountains.
The Combat Sequence
- (Opt) Hire Ronin: Attacker, then Defender.
- (Opt) Ninja Assassination: Reveal Ninja.
- Melee Phase: All units roll dice simultaneously.
- Assign & Remove Casualties.
- Determine Outcome: Check for province control.
